After ATV Crash, Passaic Co. Teen Faces Long Recovery; Fundraiser Set Up For Family
One of the students injured in the crash, who is a high school wrestler, has been identified via a GoFundMe that will support his family.
WEST MILFORD, NJ — A West Milford High School wrestler has been identified as one of the teens involved in an ATV crash this week, and friends have set up an online fundraiser to benefit his recovery.
Brandon Mroziuk and another teenager were hospitalized with serious injuries on Tuesday after the crash. Police said they were on an ATV, headed northbound on Highlander Drive when they crossed into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle.
Both vehicles veered off the road and into the woods and the ATV riders were thrown off, officials said. Responding officers found the 14- and 15- year-olds with serious injuries, and treated them at the scene before a medical helicopter arrived to transport them to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson.

The GoFundMe will support Mroziuk's family with medical bills; he underwent surgery as a result of the crash and is still recovering at St. Joseph's.

"He faces a long road to recovery, and we want to do everything we can to support him and his family during this challenging time," the organizers said.

Mroziuk's mother will receive 100 percent of the donations, and the fundraiser has a $70,000 goal.
"We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help ease their financial burden and ensure they have the resources they need," the page states. "Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and show Brandon and his family that they are not alone in this fight."
