Taste And Vote For Top Cuisine At Upcoming Wayne High School Student Competition

All proceeds from the 16th annual event support student scholarships. Check out the different themes for this culinary competition below.

WAYNE, NJ —Young chefs from both Wayne Township high schools are whipping up themed dishes for the upcoming Student Culinary Competition.

Teams from both Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley will compete in this annual event, which is in its 16th year, on Thursday, April 18. The competition is held in Wayne Hills High School's large gym, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with awards at 7.

Attendees can taste dishes from the various themed cuisine tables, and vote for their favorites.

Tickets are $7, and all proceeds from the event support student scholarships for both schools: Valley's Ed Grobe/Agnes Hoerner Scholarship, and Hills' Consumer Science Scholarship.

Cuisine themes include: Cuisine of India, Caribbean carnival, Olympics in Paris, The Silk Road Food, NJ State Fair Food, Middle Eastern Turkish, Taste of Disney, and Western Cowboy Fare.
