Vandals Destroy Passaic County Ice Skating Rink
The still-forming ice and the line around the link were destroyed.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Vandals have forced the closure of the municipal ice skating rink in Ringwood.
Recently, some ice skaters climbed the fence around the rink when it closed and destroyed the still-forming ice, officials said. Several holes were made in and around the liner and it must be replaced, they said.
"We apologize to all who looked forward to having fun on the rink this winter and also to our public works employees who worked so hard on it to get it ready," officials said.
