Wayne National Merit, AP Scholars Recognized For Achievements
The students are competing for National Merit scholarships worth more than $31 million.
WAYNE, NJ — Dozens of township students were honored for their academic achievements recently by the Board of Education at a recent meeting.
The national merit scholar students are among 16,000 nationwide semifinalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Finalists will compete for one of 3,500 National Merit Scholarships. Winners will be announced between April and July.

Board of Education President Donal Pavlak Jr. offered his congratulations to students and their parents.
"I would like to express our congratulations on a job well done," Pavlak said. "You turn around and often people ask about what we are getting for our tax dollars. You are the picture of what we are getting for our tax dollars."
