Woman, 31, Found Fatally Stabbed In Passaic Home: Prosecutor

Local police found the woman inside the residence on Sunday morning, and said she had multiple stab wounds.

PASSAIC, NJ — A 31-year-old Passaic woman died Sunday after being stabbed multiple times inside a home, according to officials.

Passaic Police arrived at a residence near the intersection of 4th Street and Bergen Street at around 9:40 a.m. after someone reported a stabbing, said Police Chief Luis A. Guzman and Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes. Officers found the woman, a Passaic resident, inside with several stab wounds.

First responders took the woman to St. Mary's Hospital and she was later pronounced deceased, officials said in a statement.

Authorities have not identified the woman as of Monday afternoon. The investigation continues, and officials said they will release more information as it becomes available.
