Women Caught Shoplifting At Wayne J.C. Penny Store: Police

The women allegedly took purses and filled them with merchandise, police said.

WAYNE, NJ — Two women were charged with shoplifting after they allegedly stole merchandise from J.C. Penny at the Wayne Town Center Saturday, police said.

Palakben Patel, and Rachanabe Patel, both 26 of Maywood, were arrested after store security personnel saw them filling women's purses with various merchandise, said Detective Capt. Laurence Martin.

Palakben Patel and Rachanabe Patel allegedly stole $727 and $234 worth of items, respectively, Martin said.

They were charged, booked, and released from police custody, Martin said.
