63-Year-Old Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Crash In West Windsor

The pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Penn-Lyle Road at Canoe Book Drive, police said.

WEST WINDSOR, NJ — A 63-year-old West Windsor resident suffered serious head injuries after being struck by a vehicle, West Windsor police said Wednesday.

On Tuesday around 5:43 p.m., West Windsor Patrol and Traffic Units responded to the intersection of Penn-Lyle Road at Canoe Book Drive on a report of a serious motor vehicle collision.

On arrival, officers found the 63-year-old with serious head injuries. A 55-year-old West Windsor resident was traveling southbound on Penn-Lyle Road, approaching the Canoe Brook Drive intersection, according to initial investigation.

The pedestrian was walking east to west in the southern crosswalk of the intersection when they were struck, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center Fuld where they were listed in critical but stable condition.

The intersection was closed for under two hours Tuesday, as authorities investigated.
