Mayor Hemant Marathe, Council Vice-President Linda Geevers and Council Candidate Joe Charles are your true Proven Leaders for West Windsor. They have spent years working for you every day – Listening to your concerns, volunteering in your organizations and schools, working with your non-profits and businesses to improve West Windsor, and being an integral part of the community with you and your children.

This is an amazing town. You deserve an experienced and dynamic team that has proven its dedication to keeping it amazing and making it better.

The Marathe Team’s Accomplishments:

1. Delivered Fiscally Responsible Budgets with No Municipal Tax Increase
Held the line on municipal taxes with no tax increase, while maintaining a AAA bond rating, growing our surplus, and expanding commercial ratables that contribute municipal, school and county property taxes to help control all property taxes for residents.

2. Preserved West Windsor’s Non-Partisan Elections
Preserved the township’s tradition of non-partisan local governance—keeping politics out of community decisions.

3. Made Roads Safer for All
Implemented key road safety improvements—adding sidewalks, streetlights, flashing beacons, crosswalks, and lowering speed limits in key areas to protect pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.

4. Strengthened Public Safety Services
Added new police officers, firefighters, and EMTs; upgraded emergency response technology; and invested in new fire trucks and security infrastructure.

5. Managed Residential Growth Responsibly
Met state-mandated affordable housing requirements while minimizing impact on the community—including raising the affordable housing requirement to 25%, the highest in New Jersey.

6. Led on Environmental Action
Achieved Sustainable Jersey Silver Certification, preserved open space, added electric vehicles and charging stations, and promoted solar energy with SolSmart Certification.

7. Enhanced Community Spaces & Recreation
Upgraded parks and trails, added cricket pitches, pickleball courts, fitness equipment, and improved the Senior Center.

8. Promoted Inclusion & Community Spirit
Supported programs and celebrations that reflect West Windsor’s diversity and build connections across all backgrounds and generations. Launched new and improved existing community events like Diwali, a Community Picnic, improved BikeFest, and a holiday drone show.
