Authorities Identify Woman Found Dead Christmas Day Along Rt.1 Mercer County

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Authorities have identified the woman found dead on Route 1 Mercer County on Christmas Day as Stephanie A. Carmody of Trenton.

Carmody, 31, was found near an unoccupied former car dealership on Route 1 North. The manner and cause of death are still being determined, West Windsor police said.

On Dec. 25, at 5:23 pm, patrol units responded to an unoccupied former car dealership on Route 1 North on reports of a possible dead person.

On arrival, officers found Carmody on the shoulder of US Route 1 North. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
