Woman Killed In Early Morning West Deptford Fire: Police
A 54-year-old woman was killed in a fire that destroyed two homes in West Deptford early Thursday morning, police said.
WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — A 54-year-old woman was killed in a fire that destroyed two homes in West Deptford early Thursday morning, police said.
Four other people, including a one-month-old boy, were injured in the fast-moving fire, West Deptford police said late Thursday morning.
A 57-year-old man, a 26-year-old man, a 31-year-old woman and the baby were treated on the scene by Gloucester County EMS before being taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for further evaluation, police said. The 57-year-old man was then airlifted to Crozier Chester Medical Center for further treatment.

Three people were able to escape uninjured from a second home that was destroyed in the fire that broke out at about 4 a.m. Thursday on Tatum Street, police said.
A third house was also damaged in the fire, which was under control by 7 a.m., according to nj.com. The cause of the fire has not been determined.

Neighbors told 6 ABC that the current homeowners had recently moved in, and that the previous homeowners had upgraded the house before selling it. They described a chaotic scene Thursday morning.
“It was horrible, there were just flames everywhere,” neighbor Tonya Kampmeier told CBS 3. “Couldn’t really see anything.”
