Man, 85, Fatally Struck By Car In South Jersey: Police
The man was walking in the middle of the roadway 'for an unknown reason,' police said.
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A vehicle fatally struck a man who was walking in the middle of the roadway earlier this month in Gloucester County, officials said.
David Dersch, 85, was struck around 8:25 a.m. May 2 on the 200 block of Cedar Road in Harrison Township, police said.
The Mullica Hill resident was brought to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said on Monday. Police did not mention when Dersch died.

Dersch was walking in the middle of the roadway "for an unknown reason" when a southbound vehicle hit him, police said.
No charges have been announced. The crash remains under investigation.
