Franklin Township police quickly identified Huntsinger as the suspect. By that time, Huntsinger was at his home on Violet Street, which is around the corner from the site of the initial incident.
Later that morning, officers surrounded Huntsinger's home, but he didn't comply with commands to exit, police said. The Gloucester County SWAT Team was called upon for what became a criminal barricade.
With a large law-enforcement presence, police asked the public to avoid the area.
SWAT Team officers arrested Huntsinger at 11:40 a.m. Saturday and turned him over to Franklin Township police.
Huntsinger was charged with armed burglary (first-degree), terroristic threats (third-degree), unlawful possession of a weapon (third-degree), criminal mischief (fourth-degree) and simple assault (disorderly persons offense).
He was placed in the Salem County Correctional Facility, which provides jailing services for Gloucester County.
