NJ Facebook Marketplace Seller Robbed At Gunpoint: Police
An online seller was robbed at gunpoint when he met with a stranger in person to sell an iPad, according to police.
GLASSBORO, NJ — A Glassboro resident was robbed at gunpoint when he met with a stranger in public to sell an iPad, according to police.
The two had met through Facebook Marketplace, and agreed to meet in person, so the victim could sell an Apple iPad, according to Glassboro police.
However, when they met in person, the victim said the stranger pulled out a gun and threatened the victim before walking away with the iPad, police said.

Police are searching for a tall, thin, light-skinned Black man. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and black mask, so no further description was seen. The man is seen on video surveillance wearing "New Balance" sneakers.
Glassboro and Harrison Township police said they began their investigation at a home on Stoneham Drive, and the investigation is ongoing.

Glassboro police remind anyone who is making a transaction through Facebook Marketplace or another online marketplace or social media to meet in their Safe Exchange Space, which is monitored by surveillance cameras in a well lit area in the police department's parking lot.
The area in the parking lot is marked with green painted lines directly behind the Glassboro Code Enforcement Building at 10 Poplar Street.
