NJ Man Sentenced For Trafficking, Illegally Possessing Guns: Feds

Dylan Ianncelli, 29, of Pitman, was sentenced to over 12 years in prison, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.

PITMAN, NJ – A Gloucester County man with five prior felony convictions was sentenced Wednesday to over 12 years in prison for illegally possessing and conspiring to sell guns, federal officials said.

Dylan Ianncelli, 29, of Pitman, previously pleaded guilty to an information charging him with conspiring to make false statements in obtaining guns and to illegally deal firearms, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.

The sentence was imposed Wednesday in Camden federal court.

In addition to the prison term, Ianncelli was sentenced to three years of supervised release.

The sentence stems from an agreement Ianncelli made with his conspirator, Jessy Hill, to purchase firearms in Georgia and transport them for resale in New Jersey. On Aug. 12, 2021, Hill bought 11 guns from a licensed dealer in Georgia, Sellinger said.

During the purchase, Hill falsely indicated that she was the actual buyer of the firearms even though she was purchasing the firearms with the intent of reselling to others, Sellinger said.

During the drive back from Georgia to Mantua, New Jersey, Ianncelli and Hill were stopped by law enforcement officers, who recovered 11 firearms purchased by Hill, as well as ammunition and a 12th firearm with a defaced serial number that Hill purchased a week earlier.

Hill is scheduled to be sentenced on March 1, 2023.
