3-Vehicle Crash Injures, Entraps Multiple People In Gloucester Twp.
The crash happened around midnight on New Year's Day.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two people were extricated from an overturned SUV after a three-vehicle crash early New Year's Day in Gloucester Township, officials said.
The collision happened around 12:20 a.m. Thursday on Route 42, near exit 7. A BMW SUV and two Toyota passenger vehicles collided, causing the BMW to veer off the roadway and overturn, according to State Police.
The BMW landed on its side as it knocked down a chain-link fence, entrapping two people. First responders extricated them from the vehicle.

Both Toyota drivers were brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.
It's unclear what caused the crash.
