Person Shot During 'Pop-Up Party' In Gloucester Co.: Police

GLASSBORO, NJ — A person was shot during an unsanctioned gathering Sunday night that drew large crowds to Glassboro, police said.

Hundreds of people flocked to Rowan Boulevard for a "pop-up party" — a large, unsanctioned gathering typically promoted on social media with little notice.

A male victim was shot in the leg during the event, according to Glassboro police. He was brought to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Police from Glassboro and surrounding communities dispersed the crowd.

Glassboro detectives and the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the incident.

No charges have been filed yet, a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office told Patch late Monday afternoon. But the investigation remains active.
