Preview Thursday's West Deptford Township Committee Agenda

Thursday's meeting of the West Deptford Township Committee promises to be an eventful one according to the agenda released on Tuesday.

Things will start with an official proclamation for retiring West Deptford K-9 unit 'Judge,' who is heading into his sunset years after a distinguished career unfortunately cut short by health concerns.

The agenda also includes a measure that should also offer some legal remedy on the community signage issue, which drove healthy discussion at a committee meeting in June on the subject of enforcement at the expense of local groups.

There's a resolution to continue a Community Development Block Grant for the township and another to make some changes to the West Deptford traffic code for police enforcement purposes.

Finally, there will be discussion on opening up the township coffers to pay for a fireworks show at West Deptford Family Fun Day (September 7, 2013).
