South Jersey School PTO Treasurer Arrested After Pocketing Over $50K In Funds: Police
She was the PTO treasurer for multiple schools in the district, officials said.
DEPTFORD, NJ — The treasurer for multiple Deptford school parent teacher organizations was arrested Tuesday after authorities say she pocketed more than $50,000 in PTO funds.
Tara Webb, 36, was the PTO treasurer for both Shady Lane School and Pine Acres Early Childhood Center, police said.
The Deptford resident was charged with theft of movable property worth more than $50,000.

It wasn't immediately clear how much Webb is accused of stealing or when the alleged misconduct happened. Patch contacted law enforcement and will update as more information becomes available.
Webb was arrested Tuesday night and placed in the Salem County Correctional Facility, which provides jailing services for Gloucester County.
