'Serious' Commercial Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Highway In South Jersey
'Expect severe traffic delays in the surrounding area,' police said.

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A "serious" commercial vehicle crash has shut down a highway Wednesday in Gloucester County, police said.
The crash happened Wednesday morning on Harding Highway (Route 40) eastbound in Franklin Township, police said. It was in the area east of Porchtown Road.
The circumstances of the crash remain unclear as of this writing.

Harding Highway is closed in both directions as of 9 a.m., according to 511NJ traffic alerts.
The Route 55 ramp for Exit 39 West is also closed, police said.

Emergency crews are investigators are at the scene.
"Please follow all posted detours and seek alternate routes until further notice," said the Franklin Township Police Department. "Expect severe traffic delays in the surrounding area."
