Teen Girl Killed, 2 People Injured In 2-Vehicle Crash In Gloucester County

A 16-year-old girl was killed; a 17-year-old boy was driving one vehicle, a 27-year-old woman was driving the second vehicle, police said.

DEPTFORD, NJ — A teenage girl was killed and two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Deptford on Friday night, police said.

The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Hurffville Road and Deptford Center Road, Deptford Township police said.

A 16-year-old girl from Washington Township died at the scene of injuries she suffered in the crash. She was the passenger in a car driven by a 17-year-old boy from Gibbstown; he sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cooper University Hospital for treatment, police said.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 27-year-old woman from Deptford, was injured and taken to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township for treatment, police said.

The crash is under investigation by the Deptford Township Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit.
