Kohl's Crash: Truck Smashes Through Department Store In South Jersey

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man smashed his truck through a Kohl's store entrance as he accidentally backed into the building Sunday in Washington Township, police said.

It happened around 1:15 p.m. at Kohl's of Turnersville on Route 42. Photos show a truck shattered the glass doors at the entrance and stopped partially inside the store, adjacent to some clothing racks.

No injuries were reported, police said.

Police advised the public to avoid the area Sunday afternoon as emergency crews remained on-site and building inspectors assessed the damage.

The store was open on Monday morning.
