West Deptford Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash: Police
A 39-year-old West Deptford man who approached life with immense motivation and energy died in a motorcycle crash last week.
WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — A 39-year-old West Deptford man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Red Bank and Shields avenues last week, according to police.
The crash happened at about 6:29 p.m. on Oct. 17, according to the West Deptford Police Department.
Police didn’t identify the victim, but he was identified by nj.com as Vasileios Novratidis. Novratidis was treated by fire and EMS and taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he died the following day, according to the report.

The driver of the car, an 83-year-old West Deptford woman, was taken to Inspira Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, police said.
West Deptford police are reviewing security footage from the area to help determine the cause of the crash, and have collected several pieces of evidence, police said. No charges have been filed yet.

Anyone who saw the crash or who has video of it is asked to call West Deptford police at 856-845-2300.
Novratidis is survived by his wife, Yaroslava Shevchenko, and his children, Alexander Novratidis and Veronika Novratidou of West Deptford, according to his online obituary. He is also survived by his siblings, Koula and Tekla Novratidou of Greece.

Heart-breakingly, Vasili passed away unexpectedly in a tragic accident, cutting short a life of love and promise. Thank you to everyone who knew and loved Vasili and his family. We deeply appreciate your heart, your thoughts, your prayers, and your support. Donations made will be used to help cover the family any household expenses for the next while.”
As of Tuesday morning, the fundraiser had raised more than $24,000 for the family.
A viewing for Novratidis will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer Street in Cherry Hill. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m.
