86 Students Earn World Language Honors At Westfield High School

The students were inducted into the National Honor Societies for Spanish, French, Chinese, and Italian.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Eighty-six students have been inducted into the National Honor Societies for Spanish, French, Chinese, and Italian, with 34 excelling in Spanish, 24 in French, 8 in Chinese, and 20 in Italian.

"We are incredibly proud of these students, not only for their academic excellence in world languages, but for the enthusiasm and commitment they bring to their language clubs and honor societies," said Supervisor of K-12 World Languages Enrique Pincay. "Their induction reflects a genuine passion for language and culture, and it also speaks to the outstanding work of our world language teachers and the dedicated advisers who guide and inspire them. This achievement is a celebration of both student effort and educator impact across our district."

At a World Language Induction Ceremony on May 1, Spanish teachers Rose Calimano, Bonnie Underwood, and Brook Stites issued words of congratulations to the following students who were inducted into Pensativa, the Westfield High School chapter of La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica or National Spanish Honor Society.
