A-List Celebrities Seen Filming Netflix's 'The Whisper Man' In NJ

WESTFIELD, NJ — Hollywood stars Robert De Niro and Adam Scott were seen this week filming Netflix's latest film, "The Whisper Man," in Union County.

Most recently, on Tuesday, the Oscar-winning actor, De Niro, was spotted with Scott, known for his role in Severance and Parks & Recreation, in Scotch Plains filming inside a private home, according to NJ.com.

Last week, filming took place at a home on East Dudley Avenue between Lawrence Avenue and Elm Street in Westfield and also at Westfield's Wilson School last week.

"The Whisper Man," a new adaptation of Alex North’s best-selling novel of the same name, also stars Michelle Monaghan (The White Lotus, Gone Baby Gone), Michael Keaton (Spotlight), and more.

Directed by James Ashcroft (The Rule of Jenny Pen, Coming Home in the Dark) and written by Ben Jacoby (The First Omen) and Chase Palmer (It), The Whisper Man is Netflix’s sixth partnership with the Russo brothers’ company AGBO.

Filming for "The Whisper Man" also took place in Plainfield earlier this month. Production is expected to return to the Queen City to film on April 29, May 9, and May 12-16 in the Downtown Entertainment District and Van Wyck Brooks Historic District.

"Based on the New York Times best-selling novel by North: When his 8-year-old son is abducted, a widowed crime writer looks to his estranged father, a retired former police detective, for help, only to discover a connection with the decades-old case of a convicted serial killer known as 'The Whisper Man'," according to Netflix.

A release date for "The Whisper Man" has not yet been released.
