Marine Corps Veteran, Richard J. Quinn, Dies at 81
Quinn was a Westfield resident since 1968.

Richard J. Quinn, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visit the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 5-8 pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 10 am at Holy Trinity Church, Westfield.
Mr. Quinn was born in New York City and has resided in Westfield since 1968. Richard was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and served during the Korean Conflict. He proudly believed in their motto, ‘Once a Marine always a Marine’. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Adelaide (nee Galasso) and their two children; Marilauren Kovak and her husband, Brian and Richard A. Quinn and his girlfriend, Christine Tomchak. He will also be deeply missed by his three beloved granddaughters; Tara, Christine and Megan along with his 12 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
