Multiple Cars In Westfield Burglarized: Police

The Westfield Police Department is reminding residents to keep the doors to their vehicles locked at all times.

WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Police Department is reminding residents to keep the doors to their vehicles locked at all times. The warning comes after several vehicles were burglarized over the weekend.

According to police, a car was burglarized on Saturday morning along the 200 block of Eton Place, and another was burglarized Sunday along the 200 block of Massachusetts Street in Westfield.

Police said both cars were left unlocked.

Westfield police said they also received several reports from the Cranford Police Department that several vehicles were also burglarized Saturday in an adjacent area to those that occurred in Westfield (the vicinity of Lexington Avenue).

Along with locking your vehicles, residents are encouraged to avoid leaving valuables out in the open. Never leave the following items lying out on your seats, dashboard or floor:
