WESTFIELD, NJ — A car slammed through the wall of a home early Sunday morning, the Westfield Fire Department said.
At around 9:00 a.m., crew members were dispatched to the 100 block of Cambridge Road for a report of a car crashing into a building.


Fire officials found the car had made impact on the interior wall.

Nobody was home at the time of the crash, and everyone in the car was safely out of the vehicle before the Fire Department arrived, officials said.
The Fire Department utilized "Union County Tech resources" to survey the damage and notified the Westfield Building Department. The car was removed, and the building was turned back over to its owner.

Officials cleared the scene at around 10:50 a.m.
