New Movie To Film In Union County In April, May

A letter from the production company AGBO was shared with Plainfield residents on what dates they would be filming.

PLAINFIELD, NJ — A new movie will be filmed in Plainfield later this week and through May, City of Plainfield, NJ - The Queen City announced.

"Exciting news, Plainfield! AGBO is bringing the big screen to our city!"

Filming will take place on April 4, April 29, May 9, and May 12-16 in the Downtown Entertainment District and Van Wyck Brooks Historic District.

"AGBO, a renowned media and entertainment company, has secured all required permits and is working closely with city officials to minimize disruptions. We are committed to maintaining the safety and convenience of our residents and business owners throughout the filming process," according to a letter shared by Plainfield.

It is unclear what movie is being filmed or who is starring in the production.

Residents should expect temporary street closures, production crews, and increased activity in the area.

Along with showcasing Plainfield, the City said this production brings direct economic benefits, supporting local businesses and highlighting Plainfield as a desirable filming destination.

"We appreciate your patience as we showcase Plainfield as a top filming destination!" said the City.
