A Memorial Pool Membership Will Cost More This Year For Westfield Residents

WESTFIELD, NJ — Taking a dip at Westfield's Memorial Pool will be slightly more costly this year, as the Town Council approved a membership price hike at the meeting last Tuesday.

In a 8-0 vote, the Council voted in favor of raising membership rates for the 2023 season.

While Councilman Mark LoGrippo originally voted against the ordinance to set the maximum rates for the facility, he voted in favor of the actual rate increases in last Tuesday's resolution, spokesperson Kim Forde told Patch.

Resident families with five or more members will pay an additional $54 annually, compared to last year, with a new rate of $599. Resident families with four or fewer members will pay an additional $45, and individual resident members will pay an additional $20.

Non-resident families will also see a price hike. These families with five or more members will pay an additional $86, and non-resident families with four or fewer members will pay an additional $73. Individuals who are not Westfield residents will also see a $40 rate hike.

The Westfield Memorial Pool and Aquatic Complex offers a 50-meter 165-foot by 75-foot main pool, an eight-lane competitive lap pool, a diving pool, two large water slides, a two-foot deep children's training pool, a newly renovated splash pad connected to a zero-entry pool, a snack bar, playground and much more.

The pool also offers adaptive swim classes, backyard games, family fun nights, Marlins swim teams and swim lessons.
