WESTFIELD, NJ - A national presenter on substance abuse and mental health is slated to speak at Roosevelt Intermediate School later this month, and Westfield parents are invited to attend.

Sponsored by the Albert Anthony Kayal Foundation and the Matthew Thomas Toriello Memorial Fund, in partnership with the Westfield Public Schools, keynote speaker Stephen Hill will be delivering his program “No One Saw This Coming: A Parent Program” on March 30 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Hill, a renowned presenter on substance use prevention and mental health, will be sharing his personal journey of addiction and recovery alongside his father Kevin. Parents will also learn how to help children make healthy choices and overcome adversity.

“This powerful, moving and inspiring presentation is both a cautionary tale of substance misuse to addiction and a comeback story of resilience and recovery,” a flyer for the presentation reads. “Parents will learn how to build resilient kids to make healthy choices and overcome adversity.”

The presentation, which comes ahead of Stephen Hill’s presentation to eighth graders in Westfield on March 29 to 31, is free and open to the public.
