Waxing & Lash Studio 'Sugaring NYC' Coming Soon To Westfield
The studio coming to Broad Street offers a new form of waxing that they say is better than shaving and regular waxing.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Downtown Westfield has seen an influx of new businesses and restaurants in the past few months, and Sugaring NYC is one of the newest additions.
The waxing and lash studio has locations across the country and will soon open a store at 214 Broad Street sometime in October.
"Sugaring," one of the services that the studio offers, is a "relatively painless, affordable and long-lasting Brazilian hair removal method," according to the company's website.

Whereas shaving and regular waxing often causes ingrown hairs and razor bumps, Sugaring NYC argues that sugaring does not cause unnecessary pain and irritation.
Body sugaring is often compared to waxing because both are sticky, but the company says sugaring is best for sensitive skin.

"Wax adheres to BOTH the skin and the hair, but sugar paste only adheres to your hair and pulls them out by the root without sticking to the skin, causing no irritation," the website states. "It is a less painful and hypo-allergenic method of hair removal."
Hair re-growth is slow using sugaring, so this method of hair removal can last up to six weeks, which is similar to how long laser treatment lasts.
Besides sugaring, the studio offers other services like Keratin lash lifts and intimate facials.

Westfield is the studio's second New Jersey location, with its first in Bloomfield.
