Westfield Honoring Residents Lost In 9/11 Attacks
Local clergy will be on hand for special prayers of commemoration, as well as an honor guard with a ceremonial wreath.

WESTFIELD, NJ - The Town of Westfield is holding its annual event to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks in September 2001 at the 9/11 memorial on Thursday, Sept. 11.
At 6:30 p.m., crowds will gather at the memorial site on North Ave. at East Broad St. to join in prayer. Local clergy will be on hand for special prayers of commemoration, as well as an honor guard with a ceremonial wreath.
"Taps" will also be played to honor the victims. The ceremony is rain or shine, and will come to a close with the reading of names of each of the Westfield residents lost followed by a period of silent reflection.
