Diamond Jim and The Gems Playing in Hillsdale Wednesday

Hillsdale's summer concert series continues Wednesday with a performance by Diamond Jim and The Gems in Veterans Park.

The band plays classic rock and oldies, according to event organizers.

The concerts take place from 8 to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays in Veterans Park on the corner of Broadway and Hillsdale Avenue through August 28. Check out the full schedule here or watch the video of the Gems playing "Sleep Walk" above.

Elizabeth Ward, a recreation department volunteer who organizes the concert series, said she wanted to thank the event's sponsors and noted that many local restaurants will be offering special deals during the concerts.

Also during the concerts, donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Helping Hands Food Pantry.
