New Sign Up At Westwood Hospital

Workers installed a new sign for HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley this week as renovations near completion.

The hospital had been undergoing renovations since last spring and is scheduled to open June 1, CEO Chad Melton previously told Patch.

A decision from state officials to allow HUMC and the Texas-based LHP to reopen the former Pascack Valley Hospital was challenged by both the Valley Hospital of Ridgewood and Englewood Hospital.

A three-judge appeals court panel decided in December to uphold the approval.

Hospital officials are planning to hold an event celebrating their opening in May.
