Pascack Valley Man Not Injured After Explosions at Boston Marathon
Christian Treitler said he finished the marathon about 15 minutes before two explosions occurred near the finish line of the race Monday.

Woodcliff Lake resident Christian Treitler, 51, confirmed that he was safe after two explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday.
Treitler, who reportedly finished the marathon about 15 minutes before the explosions, said he was "a bit shaken up" but otherwise fine.
Treitler is a member of a running club called North Jersey Masters. He said a friend from the club reported hearing from most of the participating members that they were safe.

Two River Vale residents who were also registered in the race could not immediately be reached. Mike Weis, 47, completed the race at about 1:24 p.m., race records show. Paul Chirchirillo, 55, was last recorded about at 70 percent through the marathon at 2:41 p.m.
Race records do not show any registered runners from Westwood, Washington Township or Hillsdale.

More than 500 runners from New Jersey reportedly participated in the race.
