Public Comments on 7-Eleven Plan This Week
Members of the public will be able to share their thoughts Monday about a plan to build a strip mall at the former Chevy dealer on Kinderkamack Road.

Anyone with an opinion about a plan to build a strip mall at the former Chevrolet of Westwood on Kinderkamack Road will have an opportunity to share their thoughts this week.
The plan calls for a 8,051-square-foot, five-unit strip mall to be built at the former showroom. The applicant has requested a use variance to allow a 7-Eleven to occupy a portion of the space.
The Westwood Zoning Board is expected to hold a public comment period for the application during their meeting Monday.

Previously, experts hired by the applicant completed their testimony for the plan and local property owner Bruce Meisel announced he intended to object to the application and was considering hiring his own experts to testify. Several Westwood residents who live near the site have also raised concerns with the plan.
The Westwood Zoning Board meets at 8 p.m. Monday in the Municipal Complex.
