A number of Westwood residents filed petitions earlier this month to run for Bergen County Committee, according to the county clerk.

WESTWOOD, NJ — A number of Westwood residents filed petitions earlier this month to run for Bergen County Committee or borough council, according to the county clerk's office.
Democrat Lesley Whyard is running against Republicans Robert Bicocchi and Beth Dell, who are defending their seats on Borough Council.
The 2022 primary election takes place on Tuesday, June 7 in New Jersey. The winners will earn their party's nomination for the general election, which takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 8, and will also include independent candidates.

Voters have until May 17 to register for the primary election.
Each district may have one man and one woman elected to County Committee.
