Washington Twp. Man Arrested On Chid Porn Charge
Jeffrey Laino, 37, contacted a woman from Ohio on Snapchat and told her he downloaded nude pictures of her, authorities said.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A township man was arrested on child pornography charges Wednesday, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.
Jeffrey Laino, 37, was arrested at his home and charged with distributing images of child sexual abuse, Carpenito said. The case against him dates back to January when multiple files featuring images of child sexual abuse were shared from an online IP address traced to his home, he said.
Authorities got information in February from an Ohio woman who was approached by a Snapchat user. The user said he was from New Jersey and that he had nude pictures of the victim when she was 14 or 15 years old that he downloaded from the internet, Carpenito said.

The user's screen name was "Jeff L." and the Snapchat account's IP address was traced to Laino's Washington Township home, Carpenito said.
Laino faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if he is found guilty of the charge filed against him.
