Westwood Gas Station Attendant Solicited Sex From Woman: Police

Ravi Kumel 'made criminal contact with the victim' and then solicited sex from the victim by offering her money, police said.

WESTWOOD, NJ — A borough gas station attendant was charged with criminal sexual contact and solicited sex by offering to pay the victim money, police said.

Ravi Kumel was working at a gas station on Irvington Street Sunday when he "forcibly and inappropriately touched a 30-year-old victim," said Chief Michael Pontillo.

An investigation revealed that Kumel also solicited sex by offering to pay the victim money, Pontillo said. He is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court March 8.
