Westwood High School Hosting 5K Sandy Fundraiser
The "Jersey Strong 5K" at Westwood Regional High School will raise money for the district's Hurricane Sandy relief fund.

Westwood Regional Jr./Sr. High School will host the first annual “Jersey Strong 5K” March 23 to benefit the Westwood Regional School District’s Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. Registration for the race is now open to all interested.
Starting at 9 a.m., the “Jersey Strong 5K” race will begin at the track at Westwood Regional High School and will follow a course on/near school grounds. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers of the 5K race.
For those interested in participating, but not racing, there will also be a one-mile “Family Fun Walk”. Snacks will be available to all after the race, and the event will also feature entertainment to cheer on participants at the finish line.
The “Jersey Strong 5K” entry fee is $25, which includes a t-shirt designed by Westwood Regional High School art students. Participation in the “Family Fun Walk” is $10 per person and also includes a t-shirt. All proceeds from both the “Jersey Strong 5K” and “Family Fun Walk” go directly to the Westwood Regional School District’s Sandy Relief Fund.
To register for the race/walk, please contact Sue Ehlers at sehlers@wwrsd.org. The form can also be accessed at http://www.wwrsd.org/Page/8986.
