Additional Sex Assault Charges Filed Against East Brunswick Man
Michael Roberson was served today with two counts each of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Deputy Chief William Krause of the East Brunswick Police Department announced today that a township man has been charged with additional counts of sexual assault after two more victims reported they were sexually assaulted on separate occasions in his home when they were children.
Michael Roberson, 42, of Old Bridge Turnpike in East Brunswick, was served today with two counts each of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, after the victims, now adult males, contacted police.
Roberson was served with the charges at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Centerin North Brunswick, where he has been held since July 7, 2014 on counts of sexually assaulting two other boys in unrelated incidents at his home.

Bail previously had been set at $225,000, and was raised by $400,000, bringing the total amount to $625,000.
The new charges were filed after Investigator Colin Feneis of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Crispin Farrace of the East Brunswick Police Department determined that Roberson sexually assaulted one of the boys from 1993 to 2002, while he was between the ages of 8 and 17, and sexually assaulted the other victim from 1995 to 2001, while he was between the ages of 8 and 15.

Roberson initially was charged on July 7, 2014 with one count of aggravated sexual assault and two counts each of sexual assault and child endangerment after one of the victims, now 18, told police he had been sexually assaulted as a child.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Roberson are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
