Express Store At Woodbridge Center Mall Will Close

Express filed for bankruptcy Monday, and will close seven stores in New Jersey. The Woodbridge Center store is on the chopping block:

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The Express store at the Woodbridge Center mall will be closing.

This was reported by FOX5 New York. Fashion retailer Express filed for bankruptcy protection Monday, and as a result they are closing seven New Jersey stores.

The Express at Woodbridge Center was on the chopping block. Express did not give a date when the store would close.

According to FOX5 New York, here are all the New Jersey Express stores that will be closing:

  • Express, Deptford Mall, 1750 Deptford Center Road
  • Express, Freehold Raceway Mall, 3710 US-9
  • Express, Livingston Mall, 112 Eisenhower Parkway
  • Express, Mall at Hamilton Center, 4403 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing
  • Express, Moorestown Mall, 400 NJ-38 #1325
  • Express, Westfield Garden State Plaza, 110 Garden State Plaza Boulevard, Paramus
  • Express, 250 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge

As it goes through a bankruptcy restructuring and tries to stay open, Express said it will close approximately 95 Express stores across the United States, with seven of those in New Jersey.

"We are taking an important step that will strengthen our financial position and enable Express to continue advancing our business initiatives," Stewart Glendinning, the chief executive officer of Express, Inc., wrote in a news release Monday.
