Several people were also treated for injuries sustained in connection with the incident, officials said.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ - A flipped dump truck on the Woodbridge-Rahway border Wednesday morning caused several injuries and prompted a response from multiple hazardous materials teams, officials said.
Just before 8 a.m., a dump truck was reportedly overturned near the intersection of Route 1 and Randolph Avenue, the Union County Hazmat team said in a statement. Crews from the Woodbridge, Rahway and Avenel fire departments, as well as the Union County Hazmat and Middlesex County Hazmat teams, worked to contain leaks from the dump truck and provide care to multiple patients injured in the incident.
It was not immediately clear how many individuals were injured in the incident.
