Jeep Cherokee Stolen From Colonia Home May 10, Recovered In Newark

The homeowner said he woke up Friday morning, May 10, and discovered that his Jeep Grand Cherokee was missing:

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A car was stolen last Thursday night, May 9, from a home on Broadway Avenue in Colonia, according to Woodbridge Police.

The homeowner said he woke up Friday morning, May 10, and discovered that his Jeep Grand Cherokee was missing. He thinks it was stolen sometime between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 6:15 a.m. Friday.

Woodbridge Police entered the Jeep's information into a statewide database, the National Crime Information Center, and the Jeep was later recovered in Newark.

No arrests have been made.

A day later, a second home on Broadway in Colonia was targeted by car thieves: At 3 a.m. Saturday, May 11, a Broadway Avenue homeowner said two men tried to open a window in his home to gain access to his $100,000 BMW.
