Goodwill is currently in the midst of a major expansion in the New York City metro area: The new Woodbridge store is their 10th in Northern New Jersey. New Goodwill stores just opened in Ledgewood, NJ, in Hillsborough, NJ, in Manhattan and Merrick on Long Island.
Goodwill re-purposes second-hand clothing and home goods. At a time when "fast fashions" and cheap textiles are clogging landfills, Goodwill says it is keeping the equivalent to 83 Statues of Liberty out of landfills.
