Woodbridge 103-pounder Matt Coons, who went 30-6 this season entering Friday, lost in the preliminary round of the Atlantic City state wrestling championships.
Coons fell to Brick Memorial's Joseph Ghione, 4-3. The loss knocked Coons out of the tournament.
