Woodbridge's Cypress Park II Now Open, Take A Tour
The brand-new park is part of the Cypress Park Rec Complex at 915 West Avenue in Port Reading. The new park has:
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Wednesday was the grand opening of the all-new Cypress Park II in Woodbridge.
The brand-new park is part of the expanded Cypress Park Recreational Complex at 915 West Avenue in Port Reading.
Mayor John McCormac, the Woodbridge town Council and Woodbridge PBA #38 were on hand for the grand opening Wednesday, along with lots of Woodbridge schoolkids and young athletes from the town's Rec leagues.

The new park has:
- Two street hockey rinks
- ADA-accessible elevated bleachers for watching street hockey games
- Refurbished soccer fields
- A level playing field that can be used for youth baseball, softball and soccer
- Restroom facilities
- Volleyball and pickleball courts with lighting for nighttime play
- A brand-new playground
- A lighted walkway that goes around the perimeter, with exercise stations on it.
The Cypress Park Recreational Complex was funded through $2.5 million in Recreational Facilities Special Needs Improvement grants from the state of New Jersey and the federal government.
