Cops: Franklin Lakes Man Allowed Son to Host Underage Party

Police say a Franklin Lakes man is facing charges for allegedly “allowing his son to host a party involving the consumption of alcohol” by underage individuals, Franklin Lakes Detective Lieutenant John Bakelaar said.

Franklin Lakes Police arrived at the Bentley Drive home just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday “to a report of a loud party involving several juveniles” and charged Kenneth Mathieson, 50, with maintaining a nuisance.

Police say a “number of juveniles were detained and released to their parents” and juvenile complaints against other attendees are pending further investigation.
