Check Out Local Artists' Work at Van Saun

The 46th annual Bergen County Art in the Park Show and Concert is planned from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 25 (rain date Sept. 26) at Van Saun Park, 216 Forest Ave., Paramus.

"The annual Art in the Park show always proves to be a fun-filled day for people of all ages," said county Executive Dennis McNerney.  "I invite families to enjoy an afternoon in beautiful Van Saun County Park while enjoying the work of some of North Jersey's finest artists." 

More than 100 adult visual artists will be featured in this exhibition.  The show is judged in five categories: Acrylics/Oils; Drawings/Prints/Pastels; Mixed Media; Watercolors; and Photography. 

It is a juried show with cash prizes: first place, $125; second place, $100; third place, $75; best in show, $500.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the Lauren Hooker Quartet. The group will perform from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. with breaks.
