Ex-Wyckoff Reporter had Child Porn on his Computer, Investigators Testify
Testimony was given during the ongoing sex abuse trial of former Fox 5 TV news reporter Charles Leaf, report says.

The sex abuse trial of an ex-Fox 5 reporter from Wyckoff continued this week with testimony that there was child pornography on the man’s computer, and that someone attempted to erase it from his hard drive, NorthJersey.com reported.
Yanal Bachok, a computer forensics expert and retired detective from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, testified this week that he found thousands of pornographic images on a computer seized from Charles Leaf’s home in 2010, the report said.
According to the report, Bachok also said a “system restore” was conducted on the laptop that attempted to erase all the data on the hard disc, but that he was able to recover it.

Leaf’s attorneys argued there was no way to prove that Leaf downloaded the images, or conducted the system restore, the report said.
Prosecutors allege that in 2010, Leaf sexually assaulted a 4-year-old family acquaintance. In 2010, the girl explained the incident to her babysitter, and then to investigators, reports said.

However, earlier this month, the girl, who is now 8, testified that the incident never happened, NorthJersey.com reported.
Leaf could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted. The trial is set to continue next week, the report said.
